House Decorating Prototype

Spider showed the team his progress on theplayer house customization for Infinity. Chibi Captain Rhubarb as a temporary placeholder for every house item interesting pick. :D You can place objects, change the size, and flip it. I like the little previews in the House Inventory. Concerned what might happen if you have a large number of items though. Also, we may need to increase the button sizes for mobile. This is great progress on player housing. 

I requested 64,000 Steam Keys for the Kickstarter Backers

Earlier this week I put in a BIG request for Steam Keys. The status is currently pending. 

In other news today, I met with Captain Rhubarb and Alina today to finalize our plans for getting backers their codes, rewards, how statues will be stored, and building a way to let benevolent founders select the items they will sponsor. We pulled data and were super happy to discover that we already have all of the data we need to fulfill all major rewards. We are still launching the pledge manager where you can adjust your pledge, get add-ons, and choose a name to appear in the credits. But there was an alarming discovering. 1,934 backers have payment errors.  That means their payments were unable to be processed. If none of them are fixed, the Kickstarter will suddenly drop $151,078.  Payments errors include a few of the custom backers. Kickstarter will keep trying for 6 more days. But if they are unable to fix their payment in time their pledges will be cancelled and those slots will open back up.

Thank you and congratulations everyone! The AdventureQuest Worlds: Infinity Kickstarter is officially funded and successful. Missed it? It is still possible to "Late Back" the project. In the next few weeks, the team will be sending out surveys to get the information to begin delivering rewards and starting the Alpha. Here we go!

• 7:50am - Artix: "The smell of coffee surrounds me..."
• 8:00am - Changed all the posts to say "Kickstarter begins TODAY!" 
• 8:30am - OMG! We hit 10K "Notify Me"s on Kickstarter this morning. Congratulations everyone! This is the magic number where Kickstarter will heavily promote a project.
• 8:45am - HeroMart gave the green light that they are all set. They added two new T-shirts and some goodies which will be available as add-ons to the Kickstarter. 
• 8:50am - Going dark for a bit.... 
• 10:00am - Alina, Lae, J#, Despair, & Immortal Joe are online.
• 10:30am - Pre-flight Check! Only and hour and a half left until launch....
• 10:38am - We just hit 11K "Notify Me"'s on Kickstarter... what in the world!?
• 11:00am - ONE HOUR! O_O The AE team is fielding questions on social media. 
• 11:12am - Writing posts for the game sites.... 
• 11:30am - My browser is full of tabs with posts ready to go on every website. If my computer crashes... we will be able to add a Kickstarter add-on for my tears. 
• 11:50am - 10 minutes.... *deep breath* May the fates have mercy upon us all.

• 2:45pm - Saw a spammer attempting to sell Custom Tiers they allegedly squatted. This is not in the spirit of the Kickstarter and any accounts found doing this will be refunded to free up the slot. We have two more batches of custom items coming. The first tomorrow at noon, and then second the following day. 
• 2:55pm - In less than 3 hours, the community has already pledged over $400,000 (41,068,300% Funded) to bring AQWorlds to all devices.
• 3pm to 5pm - Whoops! I accidentally deleted all of the posts from this time. I have been responding to all of the messages on Kickstarter. Awesome to hear from so many long time and returning players! It really warms our hearts. Reminds us of what this game means... and how much people care about it. 
• 5:30pm - Confirmed... the next batch of Custom Tiers will become available tomorrow around noon. 
• 6:30pm - I made a Suggestion Box (Google form) A great place you can leave your ideas for the game. 

Day #1 Kickstarter Prize

Tuesday is the day! Anyone who backs the AQWorlds: Infinity Kickstarter within the first 24-hours will recieve a "Backed on the 1st Day" Statue of Dooooom for your in-game house. 

Making a video trailer because the Kickstarter... starts tomorrow!

The AdventureQuest Worlds: Infinity Kickstarter begins in less than 24 hours.... (Tuesday at noon EST). Over the weekend I put together the video trailer with the help of Alteon and the team. Thank you to everyone who ran around the game with me at the last moment to grab footage. At today's full team meeting... we split into two groups. Because over the next month we will be simultaneously running the Kickstarter & preparing for the launch of Infinity's Alpha. 

Bludrut Blade & Video Making

I LOVE the Bludrut Blade! It is probably the 1st "Infinity Weapon" to be fully completed. Ghost did the animation, shader, & particle FX. Cannot wait to see this version of the game filled with beautiful animated items. During the second half of today I returned to working on the Kickstarter trailer video (I am sooooo behind schedule) but ran into some hilarious bugs. Click read more below to see :D

Battle on!

Despair told me there was an unexpected influx of AQWorlds streamers. To all of them, thank you! Friday, in Infinity, we continued the fixes and server patches. Got some super helpful tips (Love our Grey Hats). Also, Captain Rhubarb is experimenting with some compression to make the game run faster for you. As for the Kickstarter, I still need to make the trailer. The YouTuber/Player known as Alteon recorded almost all of the major cutscenes from AQWorlds and sent them too me to help. I love this community so much. 

"Tag, you're IT!"

Today was crazy productive! Thank you to the team and testers who helped with every part of today. From testing the new armors, character screen, player inspect screen, loot inventory, and power gems.... to checking & recording boss fights, fixing cutscenes, and writing... to working on the code for combat, hacking, and movement. Not to mention the late night Project Omni Coding :D It has been 15 hours. I am... Zzzz..... Zzzz....... battle... off.... zzzz.....

Now that... is a BUG!

Tunik, Warlic, and I were working on the Character screen just now and Tunik yells, "AH! A Bug!" I said... in the UI? He said, "No! On my desk!" Live-action game bugs? Game dev is fought with peril.

Armors are now customizable and animatable!

I <3 Warlic & Zhoom. Today they rolled out one of the biggest & best structural changes to AQWorlds Infinity. The entire publishing process of armors was changed.... so that we can add custom animation, layers, and FX to any part of the player's armor. 

Apply Weapon Power

Woohooo! Tunik showed the improvements to the weapon upgrades (Gems). I love it. It feels very natural to get a drops and power up your items. Diogon & J6 are working on some art tweaks to pretty it up. Going to need your help testing this. #HopefullyNextWeek
