The Knights of the Pactoganal Table got an upgrade!

Ever since they originally appeared in DragonFable, I always wanted to give each of our Knights their own "distinctive" look. A little something to make sure the 60% of people who missed my best puns (the number really is that high.. maybe higher.) do a double take. Thanks to J# & Aranax, this 20+ year long dream is becoming a reality. You will get to re-meet them in the Undead Invasion of Swordhaven :D

Back in 2005, while creating DragonFable, I hit the dictionary and make a pretty comprehensive list of every possible Sir-name. Would love to do THEM ALL one day.. but the top favorites got the full conversion. This time around, with their unique personalities... I would LOVE to see them take a more active role in the Kingdom of Swordhaven's on-going story. 

The only Knight from my list that was vetoed by the team was the scissor wielding, Sir Komsize. You win some, you lose some.

Forging Ahead

The rewards for Legendary Backer's and above include Spell Stones. These are a new type of item in your inventory that can do... well, it can do anything! For example, if your party is in the middle of a dungeon, and is need of a forge to sell, get gear, upgrade their weapons... you will be able to activate your SpellStone to summon forth a forge. Warning... the summoner may actually become the forge. :D We would like to release this alongside the upcoming Founder's Sanctuary.

The Good King Alteon's eyes have seen a lot... from the days where the Monster Lords rules our world to the betrayal and doom of his most loyal Knight and best friend. That is why we allocated extra texture space for his eyes... making them look better in his cutscene close-ups. Each part of the King received an art upgrade with incredible attention to detail. Including the order of the gems on his legendary and magical dragon sword. There is one thing this King's eyes have NEVER seen. No undead army has EVER breached the walls of Swordhaven. #Foreshadowing.

New Infinity Game version just dropped!

Greetings friends! Grab the latest Android APK and Steam update and help us test the newest version of AQWorlds: Infinity. (Version 0.0.259) We are aiming to release a special Pirate adventure for Talk Like a Pirate Day. This will include a quest for Infinity Alpha Pirates to upgrade their armor. The next major Kickstarter Update post will be coming with it. Because we are not live on every device just yet, I want to reassure everyone that backers will also be able to get all of the special backer things we are releasing in Alpha & Beta.... no supporter is going to be left out or left behind. This is especially important since, in the next Kickstarter Post, we will also be announcing a date to move the project into Closed-Beta.

Aranx’s Birthday & the Manticores of Infinity!

Greetings heroes! We are excited to celebrate Aranx’s birthday today with a special release... that spans both Infinity & the original AQWorlds. Yes, this is our first simultaneous release. (We probably messed it up. Be gentle :D)  Log into either version of the game to obtain 4 new fully animated manticore pets.

Obtain the four Manticore pets by talking to Aranx in Battleon, he will take you to the Celestial Nexus, where the Manticores have escaped into. Aid him in taming them to earn their loyalty. 

The manticore is a boss monsters & a pet. Kudos to Nulgath for the killer animation in both games.

Statue Color Improvements

Immortal Founders... Re-generate your Statues!

Spider & I worked on improving the statue colors today. The 1st gen statues were very dark and a little washed out. To fix this, we changed the export process. It now normalizes the colors around a nice stone-gray.  When you re-generate your statue, it will now be brighter, have more contrast, and have more authentic stone look. In the screenshot below you can see the difference between mine, and the previously converted Sanaee and Mog Lin ones.

Custom Weapon & Armor Backer Status

We do not always use charts & graphs... but when we do, it is because we are tracking the progress of something important! Take the progress of our 82 Custom Backers for instance. Alina made this chart straight from the spreadsheet we use to track the progress of the customs. It has been fun and we are learning a lot. You can see how everyone is moving through the process. Once the existing 82 customs are complete, we will improve the process so it is faster and smoother for all the eager players on the waiting list.
